Title: 1998 2.5TD Estate for sale Post by Robzere31 on May 4th, 2010, 11:24pm Hi guys, Dreading having to do this but my 1998 scorpio ghia estate (manual) may have to go. As some of you may know, over the last 8-9 months, I've spent best part of £1500 getting this car to run correctly & then get through it's MOT. However I'm moving house in a week or so's time & money is now very tight for the next few weeks until I get settled in. Therefore, it looks like I may have to sell the car to fund my living expenses for the next few weeks. Not 100% sure what the car is worth, but looking for around the £800 mark. It's not the greatest looking of cars, few scratches/dents & a little rust along the bottom of the tailgate but drives ok & still performs well. 205K on the clock now, but as I say there has been quite a bit of work done, including new injectors (not recons) & s/h injector pump. Rear discs/pads were fitted 6 months ago, quite a bit of front suspension work was done for MOT, rear dampers were also changed. (s/h) Fusebox had some work done to it, as well as various brake pipes & other work. Uprated speakers fitted (£200) along with a JVC head unit. 11 months MOT & 5 months tax included. If there's any interest please feel free to ask any questions & I can get some pics sorted if there's genuine interest. Doing around 55miles a day to work, I'm currently getting around 36-38mpg from it (420-450miles per tank) Based in Dudley, but car can be viewed in Redditch during the day. |

Are you going to the Sandwell show rob ? ( I think there is a spare ticket going ). Just thought it would be a good idea to park up with the rest of us with a 'for Sale' sign in the window. With thousands of visitors expected it's bound to create some intrest ;-) |

Title: Re: 1998 2.5TD Estate for sale Post by Robzere31 on May 18th, 2010, 4:27pm Sad sad day, I waved goodbye to the old barge today. Guy from Rochdale came down this morning & picked it up. Now carless for a while, but will get another Scorpio at some point, probably a Cossie this time, as I'm only going to be using it occasionally now as I now live 5 mins from work. |
