Thanks for the info Rooster. Crying shame to cube it. Will need work for the MOT. Hope to fit my 18" alloys on it as well. Wil take some pics when its road worthy.

Had this delivered safely today. It's in excellent condition and even has a fully stamped main dealer service history. Shortly after the Scorpio failed an MOT, the elderly owner unfortunately passed away.
The family then instructed the MOT failure to be scrapped.
Failure sheet shows it needs an O/S front flexi brake pipe a headlight bulb blown and a small patch to weld.
Will take it for an MOT when i have finished the few jobs needed.
Going to use this estate over the summer holidays when it eventually arrives, for camping breaks.
Adam

Hello Adam, and to you all out there. When I posted this alert I had only just acquired my own, albeit a 2.3 16valve Scorpio Estate in Cuirass (unusual Light Blue Metallic) and spent £250.00 on dealing with previous "oh that'll do repairs;swapping bits and disabling others and agreed to have Witter Tow-bar fitted. I don't know what you got it for Adam, that is your business. I am glad to see it was saved.Based on what you have reported as the relatively minor problems had I gone to see it I would have gladly offered £1000.00 for it.

Regards & Best Wishes,John Shepherd.

PS.There is a notion on the forum for a Local Meet-up with a few owners from either sides of The Tunnels ,likely to be at The Little Chef on the A41/M53 intersection.

I also have a Cossie in Cuirass as well John.Really, nice when polished up.
I didn't go and see the estate before i bought it. After speaking to Jamie at the breakers, who is first class and a real gent. I asked some probing questions and took a punt on the estate.
I would have baulked at a £1000 asking price. I now have 11 facelifted Scorpio Cossie's and would be fair to say the mean price is £500. I don't buy them to sell. To date i have never sold any of my Cossie's. When my driving days come to an end i hope one of my children will take an interest and chauffeur me around. My children have driven them all off road and made many Scorpio memories already. They don't like the estates as they say it's an old mans car. Think i will have to pimp it up a little.

SNAP!! ;D

Theres something just not right in watching your pre-teen kids racing 24v's around the fields though!! ;D

My oldests first driving experience was in a field aged 9 driving a 2.7 170 BHP Rover 827 V6 ;D

I must get the videos on youtube one day...

I wonder what the health and safety brigade would make of it! :)

It's the Health and Safety brigade who are doing their utmost to knock the guts out of our once fearless nation, all that crap gets me exceedingly annoyed, like you Stuart I used to help a farmer with his harvest tractor driving when I was ten,he was the judge of my capabilities not some bloody know nothing bureaucrat hiding in an office and getting overpaid for sod all  >:(
He had a series one Land Rover in which I learned the rudiments of car control, most newcomers have to pay someone for that today  ::)
