That’s for changing the wheels, exhaust & fixing the arches  :) – couldn’t run to a battery cover.

Someone is trying to make a quid!   Those wheel-arches won't last long I bet!   Much too pricey.

The original seller probably said "Sort out those few problems mate and it'll be worth about 3 grand........" ;D

If that were so Baz,the original owner is a much better salesman than the present one eh ? Incidentally he hasn't yet replied to my eBay question  ;)

Gozz, I got a reply form him :) If you think that's there is any kind of profit please be my guest and add up the following money spent on restoration: Rear wings and paint £500 ; Wheels and tyres £500 ; Overdrive speed control unit £250 ; Stainless Steel exhaust system £400 ; Full service £400 ; New Battery £110 ; Brakes discs £100 ; Electrical system repairs £200 ; Autoglym paint seal system £100 ; Automatic interior mirror £30 ; Electric seat refurbishment £100. I bought the car to put the engine in my racing TVR. When I got it home I realised that the car was too good to break and was persuaded by my racing enthusiast friends to restore it, which I did and over did it on how much I spent. You will see that I have spent £2,700 on the refurbishment. No profit just a loss.

Hmmmmmm.   A lot of that expenditure is over-priced.

Couldn't agree more,I could buy two GOOD batteries for that price for instance, there is little doubt that he has wasted his money and really should keep the car for himself.

It's back on again at £1995 this time.
Still too much IMHO.
£1250 - £1500 in A1 condition I reckon.

Sadly not even that with 95k on the clock and an 'M' reg.  An 'R' reg facelift estate with 98k only went for about £900 recently.

Ask him to look in this forum, he'll then know what it's worth!    ;)

Auction ended @ £1295  ;)

Mike the auction didn't even get started. The starting price was 1295 ended with no bids at 1295 unsold. Optimistic at this price. I believe the initial purchase price was an error. Spending extra to get the scorpio to the condition it should be in for the current selling price is also not cost effective. Would estimate 800 to 900 at this time. A good buy for someone but unfortunate for the seller. Selling points must be s/s exhaust and body condition.

It's being sold by a part time dealer....is it not obvious ?....check his feedback....he sells a few cars  ;)

Does the tax man know though ?  ::)

Not too sure about him trading. A long time between some cars he has sold. If he is, he's not very good at it  ;D I was under the impression that a trader made money from selling on  ::)

Dang ! Could have sworn there was a bid on it  ???

Now back on again with a £995 start price...let's see what happens this time.

I am actually tempted myself at 995. Exhaust is 300+ on its own.
