Title: 1997 Ford Scorpio 24v Estate Ultima 30k. SOLD Post by bonnietiler on Jan 13th, 2012, 11:44am It is with deep regret that I find I have to offer my Beautiful panther Black Scorpio For sale Ford scorpio Estate 24v 30,000miles only MOT till August Chrome 12 spokes with matching Continental tyres (I don't mean that they are chrome of course...just all the same!) It is an early Ultima with a Facelift front grill and lights There were no advisories on the last MOT Just absolutely beautiful condition it has the odd blemish ...and I mean odd but only what might be commensurate with travelling 30k I have replaced the front discs with Brembo drilled plated race discs + Ferodo DS2500 pads rears also replaced with EBC plated slotted and drilled and STD Ford pads It has the cloth interior which is as new It does not have heated seats(doesn't need them) they are electrically operated, it does not have electricallyadjustable lights or washers std through out apart from the improvemnts made to the wheels and the brakes (£1000) The car is known to a few well known members, it really is quite a thing to see. It is also £3000 Believe me it really is worth £3000 Which is less than I paid including improvements pm me http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z222/bonnietiler/IMG_3573_edited.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z222/bonnietiler/IMG_2739.jpg |

Title: Re: 1997 Ford Scorpio 24v Estate Ultima 30k...sad. Post by bonnietiler on Mar 14th, 2012, 7:38pm Well, i've had a few viewers, I think they just want to see a sort of, nearly new, Scorpio to be honest, nothing that I'd call a genuine buyer, so I'll give it a few more weeks then I think I'll SORN it and cover it up. Been driving it all Winter but it's still only done 31k. Bonnietiler |

Title: Re: 1997 Ford Scorpio 24v Estate Ultima 30k...sad. Post by Jeff on Mar 14th, 2012, 9:30pm Sorry to hear you've had no takers. It looks brilliant in the pictures, but I think a lot of people who don't know how reliable and well made these cars are might simply be afraid of investing. We all know how so much better BMWs are than everything else on the road, don't we. So we quietly relish having the last laugh whilst enjoying superb motoring. My mate has a very smart XJR but will happily agree it needs constant attention to keep it behaving, and the ride is no better than what we enjoy. (His is 12 years old now, looks new, but is not like the older Series 2/3 XJs for those of you who may have had one of them). I think the worst thing you can do is stop using yours, but I don't know your circumstances. The best thing would be to sell it to one of us enthusiasts, but that narrows the field right down, doesn't it! Hope something comes up for you. |
