Hi sorry to say it looks as if my 1996 Ford Scorpio will not economically get through its MOT. I have kept it going for years, however as a disabled driver its time to bite the bullet and say goodbye to my much loved Scorpio Ultima 1996 2.3 Automatic its not yet reached 100,000 miles. It has a good engine and auto gearbox inside is very good but rear wheel arches need repair. So does anyone know what I should expect for scrap value Thanks

If you drove it to a scrap-yard you'd be lucky to get £200. I've a local well-known scrap-dealer close to me that deals with cars and gives out certificates, I asked him recently about how much for 'Aunty', and that was the price if I drove it to him. If you remove the tyres, and all the oils, and fuel and trailer it there you might get a bit more. But as you can see in previous posts, members on here generally have a good Scorpio, and normally have enough spares or can get them from others so, I wouldn't be expecting anyone to be taking a complete car.

wayne and wes would be your best bet, i think both will come to you to collect the car to.

they only need the shells so have a good few spares

They will only pay 200.00 for them anyway if my pm's are correct from them

Where in the UK are you first ?

Ive given more than £200 for cars off here just all depends where in the country you are due to fuel cost

hi there yes same here depends if cars complete if its manual or wat engine it has in i personally pay more than scrap yards
