Hi everyone
Well my car was on £800 but after checking highest bidder i didn't like the look of his feedback. He has won things before and not paid for any of them including a car >:( I tired contacting him and no reply so his bids are removed. look out for:
topgearfan61
DO NOT LET HIM BID ON YOUR ITEMS

Just thought id warn those of you who use ebay

I seem to remember a topgearfan was mentioned for not paying on a ebay item I was watching. I thought that if you refused to pay twice you were banned from ebay.
Having said that I bought a item off ebay a few months ago and never got it the excuse was that I had not paid for it yet paypal said that I not only paid for it but they immediately spent the money on something else off ebay lol. I went through the complaints process and they only got 2% off their ratings yet they had done it to several other people.

Yeah mate, the bad thing is he has +5 feedback yet they are all bad. Ebay seems to be full of these bidders.  I've really had trouble with this listing, lots of questions, 128 watchers yet only 4 real bids and 4 retracted bids. Oh well the car will stay, get fixed and wil have to be sold after I've done that. Can't say Im upset to be keeping it didn't want to let it go really but I gave it a go :)

Dan,

Sad fact of life mate is you probably won't get anywhere near what it's worth to you (I hope you do, but I've been there myself), that's the same situation I'm in with my XJ. Realistically I'd let it go now if I could get a fair price and I could do with freeing up the no-claims and the parking space to buy a usable driver, but to anyone else it's still a 19y/o car and the sort of person who I'm selling to probably isn't going to appreciate the condition of it or how I've looked after it or look after it like I do, and that looks like the same situation as your 24V - it's pretty much mint even for a 5y/o car. I often look at used XJ's from that era and I've not seen anything for ages now in the same condition/spec ballpark as mine, and for what it's going to net if I sell it (£300-£500 looking at eBay) I'd rather just hang onto it.

It's easy for someone else to say because they don't know your situation, but if it were me I'd put it away for now, gradually fix it up in my spare time and when I could justify the money, put it back on road and enjoy owning a near mint low mileage car.

Bruce.

Agree with Bruce - keep it.

If you sell it you'll regret it.

Got to be one of the nicest around.

Thanks both, it will be a stunning car when done. Just planning what to do and when to do it now.
