Hi,

Reluctantly I am having to let my 2.9 24v Ford Scorpio Saloon go as my wife will no longer let me spend money on it. It has be sorn as their is an electrical short with the headlights which needs to be solved. Two wires from the plug in the fusebox to the a common neutral wire need to be recovered and they melted away.

The car has only done 111k miles, so the engine has plenty of life left in it.

IT would be a good car to repair and put back on the road, or used as a donor for spares.

Any offer, I'm in Middlesbrough?

Wayne,

The 12 spoke alloy wheels and new Continental tyres are worth more than that alone.

The car has only done around 111k miles and when serviced it has always had castrol edge oil used in the service. It's an ultima 2.9 24v which has had a rear arch repaired although there are signs of corrosion at the weld join. The bonnet realise catch cable has stretched so had to cut the grill at the front to get it opened. It has a fast idle problem which has been solved temporarily by disconnecting the control system. There is also a short some where on the headlights which has caused two wires, one two the neutral to melt away, but they just need recovering.

The fusebox has been replaced but is not fully fitted to the car.

The car does have four winter tyres which I had to source from Germany, of which three are almost brand new.

It has been lovingly looked after by me for the past five years but with these problems by wife had told me it has to go. Thankfully we still have another scorpio on the drive.

I know how difficult I have found getting parts for the car, so it will be a shame if the opportunity is missed for people on here.
