Title: Splicing! due to heat stroke Post by Silver_Poppy on Apr 18th, 2004, 6:39pm Just a question really, I've just been reading about splicing in wires on a loom to replace damaged areas of wire caused by the dreaded anti-freeze etc. etc. just want to know if it is possible or wise really to replace, by splicing in, a new peice of wire which goes to the front spark plug on a 2ltr 16v as I can see cracks in the insulation on mine and the conduit it is in is very brittle. Understand about the necessity for insulation and all that but has anyone attempted this on their motor. S.P. |
