Title: Car will not start (Cosworth)
Post by handy_uncle on Apr 18th, 2004, 8:19pm
Hi, I wonder if you can help my nephew who thinks I can do everyting bought a Granarda Cosworth. Lovely car then one day he broken the alam system.

I have removed all the wring as it only cut into the starter motor. The car started. I then re-connected the gap in wiring loom were the alarm was and tried to restart it, not a peep.

Batttery ok
Loads of fuel

We disconnected the battery for a short while, whilst I removed the alarm.

Do you need to do anything to reset scorpio's? or have you any handy hints for a man lost in wilderness of fords.

Many thanks Joe    ??? :-[

sounds as if youre talking of the Granada and not the Ultima Joe .. if you are ..then the immobiliser cuts the fuel pump too and you probably re-started on the residue of fuel at the time .. if it's the immobiliser under and left of the radio ..then you need to bridge three pairs of wires not just one pair ..let us know if my presumption is correct ans if you need the numbers from the alarm of the wires to connect then mail me off site ..hope this helps ......regards ..STN

Thanks for that  information I will look for another unit under radio, I assume you mean left of radio when sitting in the car ?

It great to have so many people to speak to on this subject.  I have never got this  ;)amount of help for BMW.
