Title: Who live's the Furthest
Post by KEF on May 18th, 2004, 5:43pm
Hi All (and I do mean all)

Looking at Elfasto Posting, got me thinking, I wonder who out of all our members live's the furthest away !! And how many different countries log in to this site. and how hard is it to get part's for your car's. It would be nice to know.  ::)
I must start watching the old T.V again, I'm beginning to start thinking now. Haven't done that for a while, "Dangerous"  :-/

Bucharest, Romania. Let's see you beat that. :D
About 2500 km from London.

There are very few Scorpios around here (but a lot of Granadas, which incidentally I find to be the second most beautiful car in its class). Most of them have the 2.3 l engine.

We have two official Ford dealers in Bucharest, plus one in every big town, where you can find any part you want. It takes 7 to 10 days for them to come from Germany.
Unfortunately, no scrappies. The car is just too rare. :(

Hi again Richard, i am the one who is always going down to Ponty- Trehafod to be precise, alrthough not every day! I met the wife  on a drinking tour 18 years ago and cant stay away from the place!. I have met some great people in South Wales, from Cardiff right the way through the valleys. They are so much friendlier than the average Londoner- probably upset some of my mates now. Anyway if you are in the Ponty area pop into The Bertie  its a really friendly pub, ask if thingyney John is around and if i am i,ll buy you a pint. regards, john.n  ;) ;)

Hey, not too bad!

Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA

About 6,000 km's from London going over the pole.

No, no Scorpio's here, but a few Merkurs.

Lots and lots of Rangers and Bronco II's with 2.9L 12 valve engines and A4LD's and all their variants.

And a whack of 4.0L Cologne V6's either pushrod OHV or SOHC.
Very nice engine. Little heavy on gas if you keep the gas pedal down, but gotta love the torque!

Well, for me it's the engine. The DOHC 2.9L is facinating. The only Ford overhead cam we have in a V6 is the 4.0L, and, as powerful as it is, it's a real gas pig.

Hi Elfasto
I have set them afloat in the Irish Sea, and with a bit of luck and the wind in the right direction, should get to you around Christmas time and should be well chilled. Mind you it's got to get passed the Irish first. ???
