Hi. I've just registered on this site - and what a great site it is too!!. I've read all the problem posts and am now fearing the worst ;-).

Got my 2.3 Scorpio Ultima Auto Estate ('98 R) a couple of weeks ago and went staight away on a 1,000 mile trip.

Nice car, really easy motorway cruiser.

I also own a '97 Ford Probe 24v - we have a similar website on www.fpoc.co.uk.

No doubt will be looking for help sooner or later so good to see how much help there is.

Welcome to the site m8y. There are loads of friendly people on here only to pleased to answer any probs you may encounter. Just gonna check out fpoc.

Hmm, just had a sneaky peek myself. Looks a a great site.
Been looking at all the show reports... with some days out at Santa Pod! (cogs turning in my head now) Anyone fancy some of that?

Hi John B,

Strangely, I am in a similar position to you. Same Car, same time of ownership. Just not the mileage. I was wondering what yoo thought of the fuel consumtion overall. I have to say I am very disappointed. I am begining to wonder if I should have bought a Cossie.

According to the computer just made the 32mpg over 500 miles - mainly 70mph motorway.

Would have liked the cossie but trying to keep down the valve count in the fleet!! One V6 is enough for me :).
