Title: Re: wow Post by Richard on Sep 28th, 2004, 10:56pm Don't think so as it is air and not hydraulic,so you are limited to the air tank capacity. If you read this low_tom answer all these questions these guys are giving me,lol. |

Title: Re: wow Post by low_tom on Sep 29th, 2004, 2:50pm hey guys. ok here we go. the boot is just a simple case of removing two bolts and letting it tilt. 2 min and your car looks different! I'm gonna modify it further with either linear actuators or air rams so you pop the boot and it lifts. As richard said in the boot at the mo there are 3 air tanks, one with all the solenoid valves, giving me a total capacity of 18 gallons approx. This gives me a play time of around 30secs-a minute. The compressor is a tiny 12v one that takes around 20min to fil from empty. This will be being either supplemented with a second or superceded with an engine driven york compressor. Also in the boot is a 1000w amp,x-over and 1200w 12" sub in a box. The boot has got to be tidied up and trimmed. The car rides on 6" strutbags on the front and 6"bellows bags on the bag tho these hopefully will be replaced with 10" bags as i'm planning to drop the car lower but still want more lift. The rims are McLean 100spoke chrome 14x7" knock-offs with a standard offset. Again the rears are gonna be replaced hopefully with 100 spoke 14x7" k/o's with a fwd offset so they tuck under the arches cos i wanna make a fender skirt kit. Still to come is a vinyl roof, hopefully in the same alligator skin pattern as the interior, bronze and green metal-flake paint with mica graphics, smoothed bumpers and some pinstriping. yeah baby. |
