Title: Re: Bad News - Captains Car Torched Post by PiercedEllie on Nov 13th, 2004, 2:57pm Sorry Captain, I changed my original post obviously after you read it. I have a spare 2L auto that needs gearbox and steering rack, but is otherwise generally good. You can have it free if it helps, and we could find somewhere to do the work. If you was closer to me you could have stored it in my workshop & repaired it to its former glory as long as no paint has been burnt off (metal weakened) but I guess it would never be the same . . . |

Title: Re: Bad News - Captains Car Torched Post by Big Bri on Nov 14th, 2004, 7:23pm Hi Michael Just wanted to add my commiserations, :( I've been in the same situation with a fully restored '67 Mk1 Mini Cooper S, was so gutted that I never replaced it... I've regretted it ever since. There are some fabulous Scorpio Ultimas about, just a matter of time... My advice, buy a £350 Mk3 as a stop-gap, & find the car of your dreams at your leisure! Thanks for all the hard work that you put in, hope it works out for you. Regards Brian. |

Some society we live in!! Decency does not exist for some people. I hope the police find them, or is that too much to hope for these days?
