Title: Parking sensor Post by Robby on Nov 18th, 2004, 10:00pm I've seen a parking sensor mentioned in the handbook - I seem to have every extra bar this one on my ultima, anyone know if it can be retrofitted or if its any good? |

Title: Re: Parking sensor Post by nick on Nov 18th, 2004, 11:03pm The rear parking radar was an option on all models, even the ultima. It consists of 2 sensors either side of the rear number plate and a dispaly, of red, amber and green lights mounted on the rear shalf. I have them on my facelift estate and they work really well, look neat and tidy, well worth fitting if you get the chance. I think the kit was £150ish from ford but aftermarket kits are cheaper. Look at [url]http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/revraderinstall.htm/[url] Hope this helps Nic |

Title: Re: Parking sensor Post by Baz on Nov 18th, 2004, 11:57pm I fitted one to my previous Car. The one I have now had them already fitted. Easy fit but hard to find. I got mine from a breaker but one did pop up on ebay last year and went for about 40 quid. Not bad as it was unused and still in the box Baz |

Title: Re: Parking sensor Post by Simmo on Nov 22nd, 2004, 9:46am Robby, I fitted a set to my Ultima estate and I know Fitzy has also done so. It was quite straightforward and very neat with a tiny display unit sitting on top of the rearview mirror. It works well and is extremely accurate in terms of the distances it indicates. I got mine from a firm in Scotland ,I think it was TG Online, and the cost was about £45. They did a variety of kits. Mine is a four sensor unit but they did an eight one as well which enables you to cover the front if you wish. Good luck. Simmo |

Colour coded etc - even supply the bit for drilling the bumper which takes seconds and ensures perfect fit. ;) Choose off site and send cheque - delivered within 2/3 days.
