With all the talk about low mileage scorps etc and how they are obviously getting rarer I just thought I would tell you about one I have found.

There is a 1996 P reg Scorpio Ultima Cosworth in panther black with 55010 miles and a full ford service history one previous owner at my local garage.

At the moment I am furiously emptying my piggy bank and checking behind the sofa for any loose change so I can go and get it as he is going to put it on ebay at the end of the week!

Sorry Baz I forgot to put that on there - he wants £2995 but I am trying to get him to take a 2.0 ultima and 1.8 mondeo into the deal

That isn't a bad price for a low mileage. I'm sure he would drop a bit though then you could sell your two privately and get a lot more than any dealer would offer.

Nice thought but when I went to have a look at it he was dead set that if he did not sell it by friday it would go on ebay and make about £3500! I dont know if I can risk that as ebay is a lottery in itself and sometimes things go for silly money (too much or too little).

I will take it for a test drive tonight and see if she really is as good as she looks.

Hard to find low mileage examples now :-/

and from what you have said the guy knows it will sell for the asking price!

Certainly worth trying to get it before its listed on ebay, on there I am sure it will fetch more!!

I got mine off EBay. 58K on the clock S reg and a good price too! Mind you I did phone the guy and did a deal off air!!

I test drove it tonight and unfortunately it drives like new so I cannot start picking faults - the main salesman was not there so I am going back tomorrow night and will make him one offer and he can either like it or lump it. If he does go for it I will be needing to get rid of my trusty old 2.0 ultima asap so my 2 cossies can sit side by side so watch this space!
