Title: Just to say Hi
Post by Pam and John on Dec 23rd, 2004, 12:12am
Hi all,

picked up Pam's car today, and well impressed, R reg 24V Ghia X in black. Been looking for something to replace her (family) Isuzu Bighorn for a while, Omegas & Rover 75 were looked at, but the pull of 24v fords won in the end, having had a much missed Granada Scorpio 24v in past.

It's joined my 24v Ford ---- albeit Mazda engined -- Probe, at least we are now a one mark family !!!!

Looking forward to good times with the car, Merry Christmas to you all

John

Greetings Pam and John and welcome to our little piece of motoring nostalgia.

First thing, there is a seperate forum (apparently!!) just for the ladies so if Pam wants a moan about you John, that's where she should go!! My beloved likes to see who's having a whinge about who!

Where in the country are you?

If you are up north we usually have a get together at Harewood house in the summer. Big classic car event with loads of stuff to do and a little funfair for the kids, stalls etc. Good day out but the weather was crap earlier this year. Year before was blistering hot so by rights this year should be just right! 30 odd cars this year so we want more next so you are cordially invited. See the main site for pictures of all the meetings

There is a meeting in Weston Super Mare this year as well about August I believe. More will follow no doubt

Anything you need, just ask

Baz

Weston's 31st July  2005
The meet last year was a bit impromptu but we had over 16 cars.. nice day too.
I travelled all the way from Newcastle (on tyne) and spent a nice couple of days there.
Once you own the beast (Scorp) you'll always have a soft spot for them... even though they can make you tear your hair out at times.. ;D

Done for me front bumper last weekend on next doors fence cos there where too many cars parked around my drive and I got annoyed!! >:( If I had kept me cool then I could have handled it but I fumed too much about inconsiderant drivers and didn't take care.
Damage isn't much a tiny bit of filler and a spray can couldn't remedy though.

Memo to self:  chill out a bit.
