Title: WEATHER
Post by Mrs Phuturephantasy on Dec 28th, 2004, 4:07pm

They say you should have  snow at christmas , yes some places are very lucky .

But down here in Bridgwater Somerset lastnight we had mega storms thunder, lighting hailstones ,  alot of properties were damage , after a series of lightiing strikes .

Houses have lost tiles . fences ,

The wind riped our driainpipe off the front house , we sure were lucky compare to the other houses.

I have just looked at the weather for Tenerife because I fancied going....tonight...but it is only 54 degrees and not worth the £5-600 they want to get there for tomorrow!!

It might be cold here but not that cold!!

Andrew... my better half went there a year or so ago. Stayed at the Miramar Hotel on Nathan Road. This place used to have a restaurant for public use at the bottom of it, which was Bruce Lee's favourite eating establishment apparently.

I think some of the food was a sight to be seen :o  Not quite like you get down your local take-away!  ;)

She says to visit Victoria Peak (if its a clear day)

So.....how has the weather been on that wee little island of yours? (ha ha ha Kidding! :D It's not so wee! ;D)

On my sunny locale of Edmonton, last week or so It's been around the mid to low -30C (Yep. minus 30 C). Got down as low as -52C at the airport south of Edmonton.

tell us the good bits and bad bits about the place

Title: Re: WEATHER
Post by scorpio_man on Jan 23rd, 2005, 5:18pm
hi there

the place is just amazing. it's got everything..... a 800 meter long escalelator which runs downhill until 10am, then uphill till midnight!

pubs that stay open until you leave! and trams from glasgow ;D to take you home afterwards. :P

and when it all gets too much, you just go to the southside of the island and chill out.

just don't go to china. :( you've not seen pressure sales like this before!

oh, and the flight was murder....17hrs via dubia.
