.. last week at the hand car wash the bloke came in with the keys and shouted.. 'Mondeo' everyone in the coffee shop carried on reading news papers ect.. He shouted again 'MONDEO'... A few people looked up as did I.. So he said 'come on who has the blue Mondeo?!'

Suddenly i reaslised what he was going on about.. I stood up and said fairly loudly that isnt a Mondeo its a Scorpio.. I said to him give me £5 off the charge for the insult or I wont come back... Hahah!!

The bloke was a bit shocked ( I am a 6ft 4 skinhead) so I laughed and said only joking.. He reckoned he had never seen one.. So I told him they are so rare that they are worth as much as a Merc or Jag - 'Oh' he said ' I didnt know that', I thought it was the top of the range new Mondeo'..

Hi ya!! I've lost count, of the times, i've taken my scorp into tyre shops, service centres etc, and its been called a granada! Still, its better than being called a mondeo! ;D

You actually let other people wash and drive YOUR car... NEVER that's my motto.. seen how some people drive 'em and thats enough for me......

And as for washing...... gets done as soon as its dirty and by hand by myself rain or shine... only take 30 miins worth every minute of my time and it is done correctly and with care.....

Good exercise as well all that bending etc.....

Greame gets really annoyed when someones says to him is that a granada he snaps back and says no its a bloody scorpio , thats a insult to my car .

We have 2 scorpios a 24v cosworth and a 24v ultima and graeme has names for them he calls them Rosie and Jim :D :D :D :D :D :D

Hmm... well I always wash mine myself. Makes me feel good when its done.

As for calling it a Granada... yes that is a bit irritating >:( Never had mine refered to as a Mondeo though. A few people have simply asked, "What is it?" Now I quite like that. Really makes it seem rare & exclusive :)
Mind you, someone earlier today asked me the same thing. He didn't even realise it was a Ford (of any description).

And its not so bad naming them Mrs P. Mine's called Belle. :)

Re: Scorpio's being called Granada's, I was at a show last year, and see a granada owners club.... and when I asked if they catered for the scorpio, (as it was the granada's predecessor) they politely, told me where 2 go!!! :-[ hahaha

Cant remember what club it was now, I think it was at last years enfield pageant! I didnt hang around, once they'd shunned my poor scorp!! :'( hahaha

I might start calling mine "Granada" that way it would be easy to get a badge with the name on it!!!

HaHaHa baz!! I had that idea!! Thinkin, as every1 calls it a granada, why not badge it as a scorpio granada!! ;D
