REGULAR MEET DETAILS: HERTS - 13/2/05

Venue: The Three Horseshoes.

When: For 1pm to eat together or 2:00pm onwards.

At: The Three Horseshoes, Hooks Cross, nr. Watton-at-stone, Herts, SG14 3RY. On the A602 outside Stevenage

Who? Anyone that wants to turn up :P!! You are not restricted to being a Club member or a member of another Club :o - just get there. Granadas and Scorpios ::) - all welcome!

This is a joint meet ;D with members from www.fordscorpio.co.uk and GSO

We had a good meet last time, this one will be better again. If you've never been to a "meet" before, make this your first one! If you've been to loads, you know the score ;)

who said wash a scorp by hand do you realise how big they are then you have to wax it I must haved walked a good 3 miles going round and round but it only takes a couple off hours :o :o but it does look nice :D

Got some nasty noises coming from the back of the car today >:( Really should go out and see what's what, but I'm scared I'll end up doing a Bazil Fawlty on it and give it a thrashing with some nearby foliage :-[

I probably won't have time until Friday afternoon at earliest to even investigate. But there's always Saturday I guess.

And... if all goes well I still hope to be there on Sunday

My gut feeling is that its wheel bearing... maybe :-/

In a way it'll be handy if it is beacuse I've already got the parts to do one side.

I hate to say this, but I'm not going to make it. :(

Attempted to do the wheel bearing today, but didn't get very far. Got a seized retaining bolt on the brake caliper, which has now started to round off.

With the tools I've got, its just not shifting. I've tried heat, I've tried WD40 and similar products but its not having it.

I've also been dashing around all over & around Ashford in my van trying to find better sockets and replacement bolts. I've been in such a state with it all and even had someone get the number off my van and phone home to report my dodgy driving! :-[

Anyway, I've got one more trick up my sleeve but it will have to wait til tomorrow when I hope it won't be so windy or raining. If that fails, its going to have to go to a garage or something.

I'm really peed off that I can't make it. I was looking forward to this little trip.

Your nearly right ;) at least three of the guys drive lorries for a living, but the parking seemed to get worse with the later arrivals :P
(although I think I'm probably responsable 'cos I always leave the door open when I'm OBDing a car, and the next in cant park that close :-[)
