Title: Sad Sad Days
Post by Mick Saunders on Feb 18th, 2005, 7:19pm
:'( Hi All,
I,m sorry to say both my Scorpio Estate's are off the road!!. Due to my own fault the 12v sustained front end damage. This was due to my wet shoe slipping off the brake onto the accelerator. I then Shot fwd into my wall !! . Thankfully no one was hurt only a little dented pride. Plus loss of no claims on the house insurance
The Cosworth  as some of you know has been deviled with over pressure problems in the cooling system. it now seems as if the suspisions of a blown head gasket were founded. I am seriously thinking of selling both cars as spares/repair. I'll let you know my decission.
My priority at the moment is to get mobile so I can transport my Son about.
Mick

Just read what Nick wrote - I am sure we can all pull together to get Mick and his son Kenny back on the road - either some of us have got the parts and or labour or chip in some way - I am sure between us all we can achieve this.

Mick - PM me your address - I would be happy to help

Siomara also sends her best wishes to you and Kenny

:)Hi All
Thanks for the kind offers. I did initially put the Cosworth front end on the 12 valve to get me mobile. After I had straightened out the front tow eye I was still 1/2" narrow. Thats when I found a slight kink in the front cross member which will need an hydraulic ram to pushout. As I said I was driving around for a few days. At the moment I've got another vehicle. to get Kenny around in. Also I,m waiting for an offer from Kenny,s
school taxi driver for the 12 v He actualy owns the company & has facilities to sort out the car. As for the Cosworth I,ve decided to keep it until I can get it into my garage to delve into the problems. The front end is now back on. Once again Kenny, Margaret & Myself would like to thank you all for your offers of help. It's good to know that our club generates this sort of spirit

Hi Mick - The news sounds positive already - and its good to see the crew all offering a hand where possible.

Regarding sending a PM - all OK on the site

Maybe you have incorrect setting or a FIREWALL blocking your sending of PM's

Captain
