I finally get a new job and despite my being told I could use my Scorpio and claim the mileage, I'm now told I have to have a company car instead :(
A bloody crappy Mondeo - not even the new one (it's on a Y plate).

Talk about an insult, I am so gutted.

Anyway, anyone who's interested can see it on the cars for sale page - it's the S reg ultima.

I really want it to go to a good home!!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone on here that's given me advice and some good laughs. It's one of the best forums about and I still plan on coming in here to see what's going on - and to look at Scorpio pix!!

Charming....fancy having to drive a Mundano and being taxed for the privilage!!

It must be cheaper for the company to get you to opt out, no tax, insurance, lease payments etc. and they don't have to pay class 1a NIC every year. I hated that when I had 11 company vehicles....every year, the taxman taxes the company for having the audacity to give employees cars and vans as well as taxing the employee every month for having the vehicle in the first place! Then they tax you if you have your private fuel paid for and the list goes on and on!!
