Well guys and gals as I wipe my eyes its breaks my heart to tell you my beloved scorp has to go.
It was in the garage today and for what I thought was a few minor jobs but the guy wanted an absolute fortune.
But do you want to know the worst part?
I am actualy a qualified mechanic but due to ill health I am unable to do the work >:( >:(
So it failed its test on emisions and two flexi break hoses and there was a metal break pipe as an advisory.
To cut a long story short I already have pads and rear wheel baerings that I wanted fitted (not esential for mot) but I wanted them done anyway.
And if I supply two cats the guy will do the work for around £600.
Okay I am aware if I shop around I may get cheeper labour costs, but I have already spent well over £1k in the last 12 months
Its done 145k and has full history with all invoices and runs very well
It will be going on ebay in the next few days unless any one here wants it for parts

Fit your cats, fit your brake pads, renew a brake pipe and 2 flexipipes, retest ........£600

I would feel seriously ripped off if told that price so

Get another price or am I reading this wrong????????

Hi Bren,
As much as I love the car I cannot justify Spending another small fortune on it and there is also the price of the cats to consider.
I mentioned earlier about my ill health well, as a result I cant work so cash is tight to say the least.
Not to mention the arguments with the wife when I was going to give the guy the go ahead on the repairs. >:(

I am open to offers but for less than starting bid I would want to keep the cd player and speakers.
