Thank goodness I came across this site. The indicators had started playing up last week and I didn't have an owners manual so a quick Google turned up this site. Looked through the fault finding and what a revelation !

Thanks everybody who put this site together, I am still looking at the goodies it contains.

We have had our 2.3 Ultima since 2001, and it undoubtably the most comfortable car we have ever had. It was first used as a private hire car in London, and was then sold on. We are the third owners, and I also used it for private hire until it go too old for the local Council so it became the family car.

I had to go to Scotland to pick up something I had bought on ebay and did the round trip of 933 miles in one day because the car was so comfortable and effortless at speed. Wonderful !

Oh, the indcators - a blown fuse.

you've had it since 2001 and the only problem is a blown fuse?? are you sure its a Scorpio? ;D

Not quite !! New engine about four years ago, the tensioner on some technical part of the engine didn't when it should have done - result one piston out of the side of the engine and a saloon full of smoke. 75 mph on the M27 and just after a customer said how quiet the car was !

Two seized wheel bearings, a gearbox that makes the engine run on two cylinders only when you put it into reverse (still haven't solved that one).

What else have I got to look forward to? 160000 miles on the clock by the way.
