Title: Scorpio-less after 11 years! Post by Ian on Dec 25th, 2007, 1:48am I'm sad to say that I traded in my beloved Scorpio last week, after nearly of 11 years of Scorpio motoring - three years in a 2 litre Ultima then nearly eight years in a Cosworth! I'd grown to know the car so well but felt it was time to move on while she was still running well. I will still look in from time to time and I am still a Ford man. In fact, I bought two cars to replace the Scorpio, a Mondeo 2.2TDi (2006) for the "grunt" and a new Focus CC3 for the "looks". Anyway if someone on here buys a Panther black Cosworth S629PMJ, let me know. She is a good car and will always get you home! Merry Christmas all and a Happy New Year too! Ian |

Title: Re: Scorpio-less after 11 years! Post by Magnusf on Dec 28th, 2007, 9:53pm Hi there Ian! I came from the other direction; we had a 2001 Mondeo V6 Ghia estate as our primary family car, and I bought a Cossie Ghia estate as our second car. The Mondeo has now been replaced...with another one, a 2004 2.2 TDCi Ghia X estate, however the Scorpio will stay with us! I'll second that, have a great 2008 fellows! / Magnus |

Title: Re: Scorpio-less after 11 years! Post by TiberiuS on Jan 4th, 2008, 1:40am Good luck Ian, don't be a stranger :) I enjoyed the 'My cars, past and present' thing on your site, the bit about the aircon on the Laser really tickled me ;) You'll miss it, even with 2 Jags, a Mondeo and a Capri to worry about, I still miss mine..I keep saying I'll quit everything Scorpio and move on but I still get drawn back.. Regards, Bruce. |

Title: Re: Scorpio-less after 11 years! Post by Ian on Jan 5th, 2008, 10:53pm Thanks Bruce, Yes, I used to think of the little blue switch as "turbo boost", except that you had to switch it off for a good getaway at the lights. Ian |
