Title: Re: Another One Safe! Post by Snoopy on Feb 7th, 2008, 6:32pm scruffygyt It is possible to remove the handbrake actuators from the calipers and clean them ,grease and refit .... its needs a little patience and dedication but everything is possible . if you look HERE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/manual/brake/RCaliper.pdf) and THIS PICTURE (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/images/rearcalipers.gif) it might help expalin what I mean. |

Title: Re: Another One Safe! Post by gozz on Feb 7th, 2008, 9:09pm It is a continued source of amazement to me that autobox drivers never use their handbrake, hence seized actuators.Whenever I take on another Scorpio based funeral car,one of the first jobs is to disconnect that irritating park lock buzzer so that the drivers tend to use the handbrake more often. |
