sold to a lovely couple off this site. i,m certain it will be looked after. when it finally went the tears were running down my face like october cabbages.
who needs e bay or auto trader when this car got over 1500 views on the scorpio site(donation duly sent)
it,s been a pleasure to talk to members of this site online over the years and a few special thank,s to highlander(stuart) for doing the biz with the photo,s,
baz for his scepticism, it did exist didn,t it baz?
and scorpioman (andrew) a true gent .
i hope i will still be allowed to post even though i,ve got a focus c max diesel cvt auto.

Neil of course you can post !!. It has been said before that the site is all about the people and it is great to know that although their cars may have gone the interest remains along with the friendship. Just look how many 'other' cars were in the compound at Harewood!! ;) I await Gozz's comments !!. ;D Mike.

thanks for the remarks gozz,
i must admit i was sceptical when the member said he was doing a 700 mile round trip to view it,but he was true to his word and a really nice lad.
i valetted the car myself on friday and must admit i nearly changed my mind ,it looked absolutely stunning . he duly arrived on monday morning and i think he was taken over by the car ,we went for a test run and it ran absolutely perfect. he,s e mailed me since and said it ran beautifiully all the way home and returned 28mpg at 75 mph with the cc on all the way.
to be honest what do i need with 200 plus BHP under my right foot at my age .
i think he,s a happy bunny and i ,m pleased for him.

Aw yes I was sceptical.... but I was glad to be proven wrong!

It was a pleasure to meet you at Harewood this year and I am sure that if I had the room I would have bought it myself Neil.

Take care and do keep popping in for a natter.... You are more than welcome to join us at Harewood this year.... just have to keep you at the back with the volvos and peugeots!! ;D

wow - i feel quite touched lol :P
the car is an absolute gem and a real credit to Neil. It really has been very well looked after and I am so so pleased with it. I'd like to assure you all (especially Neil!) that I will continue to maintain the car and keep it going as long as I possibly can and in best condition as possible!
It was a long trip for sure, but extremely worth it. The drive back was such a pleasure, I was almost sad to arrive home! (Didn't even stop for food I was enjoying it so much ;D )
It got a little dirty with all the rain on the way home so I'll be out Saturday morning giving it a lovely clean. I'll try to make it as clean as it was when I first saw it but it will be very hard to beat!
Although the car is with a new owner and "daan saaf" it will still very much be a member of this forum!

It certainly gets through enough petrol! It's funny seeing the average MPG in my 2.3 now, I never used to look at it thinking it was "high"

I've just had to get my spare Cossie on the road (The one I got off Pete) after S29 bust a hose and I need a few weeks to sort it. Blimey I never realised how good the LPG was in comparison to running one on just petrol!!
