Title: PARTS FOR SALE ON EBAY
Post by Snoopy on Oct 13th, 2008, 8:16am
There are some Scorpio Parts on ebay from a seller LUKE (http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/0114luke/) who used to be a member on here but was removed from the membership due to not providing the parts after being paid. In fact one member sued him through the small claims court and eventually got his money back.

Suggest you read all his  feed back and make your own decision

Yes I can confirm..he kept my 108£ for facelift rear lights with excuse after excuse and then said " If you want your money back come to sheffield to get it!!" He has several county court judgements and I am being contacted daily by people who ve been ripped off.. I am wanting to get aparty of people together to attend sheffield trading standards / police to inform them officially what this con man is up to.

His ebay id is 0114luke.

Further to Snoopy's alert to LUKE,an elderly Scotsman from Kilmarnock contacted me via Ebay, and said that LUKE had taken his money for an offside facelift headlamp which he needs for his MOT,and had not sent the lamp ! When he rang the rogue he told him to go to Sheffield and collect it ! The old boy is a not very well off pensioner,so LUKE knows he's safe,I don't think he would have invited me there  >:(

One day he will con one of the less gentile members of society who will bypass such niceties as informing trading standards and ebay etc and just take a little trip to Sheffield.

after all he isnt making himself hard to find is he, conning people is one thing but letting them know where you live is verging on suicidal

I have had the pleasure of meeting a lot of Scorpio owners and there are one or two out there I wouldnt like to come knocking my door on a dark night!  }{

I have had dealings with this guy back in August. Bought facelift bumper of him. Then got loads of bullsh*t about how his father had died and would get things sorted soon. Then he told me that the garage had burnt down and all parts gone! After a few emails in which one said "you know where I live, come and get the money", amazingly I eventualy got my money back by sending him a paypal invoice :o.
This guy is definately a sandwich short of a picnic and needs sorting physicaly which was something I was going to do before he refunded me. Do not buy from him.

Seems to us all he's making enemies FAST. >:(
Which wont go on forever,he'll get caught out for ripping off the wrong person and how thick can he be,giving out his address.
Only a matter of time before he gets a message. :)

Sheffield Trading Standards are well aware of this clown, but I think he's too insignificant a fish for the South Yorkshire Constabulary to bother with him,but having said that I did get a speeding fine in a lorry in Altrincham, easy quick pinch of course  >:(

For anyone thinking about buying one of these, it was NOT a Scorpio part, the selector is from a Scorpio, the wooden handle is from a Mondeo and you can pick them up for buttons! ;)

Suggest the next Scorpio meet be held in Sheffield. About 3-4 hours for me but will attend for such a 'special' occasion.

mindofitsown.
That conjours up amusing scenes  :) particularly if the gathering happened to be in Newstead Drive,Sheffield, thirty Scorps blocking the road,I bet the man at 94 would be first to call police,or maybe he would be in bed dying from some terrible wasting disease,at least for that day anyway  >:(

Hi to all members listed above,

He  currently had walnut auto gear knob sold on 19th Dec stating he as only having seen 1 before. Yet now he is listing a 2nd only 7 days later

Item condition: Used
Item number: 300282980680
Item location: sheffield, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom

I've emailed him asking if he has a job lot of them as I stated i would not be able to bid on this one as not paid until January. In 3 minutes I had a reply that he'll put one aside for me so that makes 3. He replied to the email as Karl or Carl and states that the breaks cars for a living so the parts are readily available to him.

I'd be very weary of this Ebayer 0114luke and watch his listings with interest as recently his items seem to be delivered, but it could be his friends or colleagues leaving the more recent feedbacks to erase the poor ones from Sept 6th-28th earlier this year.

Regards Chris

Hi Again,

2nd email already from Karl he'll keep one back for me and has wait for it 60 scorpio's broke in his yard so anything i need will not be an issue just waiting for the email to state use Paypal diorect to his email to save the Ebay listing charges. Buyer Be Ware

As Highlander said the gear shifter is from the mondeo and coincidently when you log into his other items for sale he is breaking a 2.5 V6 mondeo with walnut interior and yes a walnut auto gearshift which is then mated to the Scorpio base. The part does look quite good but well over the odds, why not get a mondeo being broke and copy the idea for ourselves at a much reduced cost.

He also lists full ford engine rebuilds to any performance spec can you imagine how much money he'll take off an unsuspecting individual if they choose to take him up on a rebuild. I'd use chevrolettes.com or bossperformance or is it topbossperformance? from what i've read on internet unless any members have had an experience with them and can enlighten me.

Regards Chris

I bought the first of the walnut auto gearshifts from him and then when I saw the second was immediately worried. However it duly arrived in very good time with no issues at all and is now fitted to the beast.

Maybe I was just lucky.

I think the majority of parts get sent Geoff but that walnut gearshift is off a Mondeo, they werent ever fitted to the Scorpio.

You can pick them up in the scrap yard for a couple of quid

Anyone heard anything about this guy recently. I am on the capri club forum in ireland and someone with a similar username recently joined and had quite a few for sale ads in a short time. No feedback off other users yet. Maybe just me being a suspicious b**** but I like to be honest in my dealings.
