after changing the water pump, oil light stayed on - have to put this down to wireing damage somewhere now - but then to cap that I had a small leak after it warmed up so I decided to tighten the nearest bolt and it snapped :( then it started to rain so I have walked away and depending on how I get on when I take the pump off again I may end up scrapping her :( >:( :(

well, I went back to her today took the pump off again and it was no problem removing the sheared bolt :) so I'll be down the bolt shop tomorrow, refit the pump and see if I can do anything about the wireing, maybe a bit of shrink sleeveing, don't know about this yet but as it stands - quite happy at the moment

Have you knocked the wire off the oil pressure switch and let it dangle to earth,it's easily done,they are somewhat hidden down by the compressor >:(

well- I have put the pump back on this afternoon & everything went ok there, I snipped the wireing that goes across the front of the engine (1 of these goes to the oil pressure switch) put some shrink sleeving on them and reconnected.

All started ok but the oil light stayed on, but as it got warmer the light got dimmer & eventually went out :o I'm just going to run her round as she is - I've got RAC cover ;D ;)
