Our present VAT rate for Gas and Electricity is 5% , so why does Diesel and Petrol have a VAT rating of 20%. They are all fuels after all.
Furthermore, if the government were not so greedy, it would be comparatively easy to reduce or at least vary the VAT rate whilst the oil crisis exists.
I fear that the government will never do anything, as the motorist has always been a soft touch.
Rant Over, I`m going back to sleep now.

We need to be more 'French' in our outlook towards the Government! ;D
