I have just spoken to DaveN, aka Cheeky boy 3, and am sorry to tell you that his Dad, Pop, as he was known to us all, passed away recently. Pop came to the meetings with Dave and Jo several times after his wife passed away and I know he appreciated the warm welcome the banter and the company.

He was a great character very proud of his military service and took part with other veterans in the Cenotaph Parade in London on a number of occasions in recent years.

I am sure all those who knew him would wish to join me in expressing our condolences to Dave and Jo.

Rest in Peace Pop. :(

Thanks all.

He did enjoy the meets - it was also a good excuse for him to ask me to take him over to the garden centre to stock up on the chocolate broken biscuits despite the diabetes :)

We did get to take him to the museum which he enjoyed (including the tea and cake ;) )
