I have just received two key fobs back from Phil Heap in Cumbria. The photograph shows the difference between an old one..on the right..and a refurbished one. You will see that the refurbished one has been fitted with three micro switches which, as previous members have reported, give a really positive 'feel' when used.

The skill in doing this simply amazes me!

Phil has asked me to say that his current charge for doing these fobs is £16.

That's a great thing to remember for the future. I managed to get a Ford Mustang one from the USA for $15 including postage. The only thing is it's got the Lock/Unlock, but the boot release is called 'Panic'. :D

Update. Phil also tells me that he does the 'new style' Ford keys so he's clearly worth contacting for other makes should the need arise. :)

Podge. The email you quote is correct and I have just sent a test one to him which has gone ok. I'd check the address you typed. ;) Let me know how you get on.

Also there are two members advertising in Parts for Sale.

Hi Simmo,
Philip never got back to me re- to repair the key fob, so I have repaired it my-self to the exact spec as the picture, it was a little tricky but it works fine.
