Title: MOT Post by freddieboy on Jan 9th, 2014, 9:46am Its that time again :) Last year no problems. This year made up for it ;D 2x front tyres front lower arm bush rear wheel bearing new discs and pads. Repairer took the car in at 0800, and the whole job was completed by 11.30. All ford parts. Total £500. Some might say thats a bit steep, but the rest of the car is in good nick, and it would cost me more than that to get a replacement of the same spec. The only thing needed now is to cure the slight cill corrosion, and replace the sliding roof motor (if I ever get round to it!) Hope to make Badgers Mount later when the weather improves. happy new year. Fred |

Title: Re: MOT Post by amigafan2003 on Jan 9th, 2014, 2:07pm If I spend less on getting a car through an MOT than the amount a similar spec new car would depreciate in a year then I'm happy :-) |

Yup. The way I look at it is if I spend £500 to get a car through an MOT then that's £500 spent on making the car better. However, an MOT pass but £1000 on depreciation on a new Mondeo is wasted money and the Mondeo doesn't get any better. |
