Title: Old-'Movvy' Post by PJDavis on Aug 2nd, 2017, 4:06pm Has just acquired a Thirteen Month Ticket! Hoorah! Now I need to do the blasted rear-wheel-arches, properly this time with a new pair, so I can cut-out all the old rust and attach nice new steel. On the way home from the testing station the AC-Pump failed, and blew the belt! New pump on the way! I'm a very pleased chappy. ;D |

Title: Re: Old-'Movvy' Post by PJDavis on Aug 3rd, 2017, 4:30pm Thanks Gents. Pump from a mate that is in the business, he does the whole package, and he'll come over and do the re-gas. He provided a new condenser and drier last year for a better price than anyone. I'm £89 for the unit and I'll fit it myself after he's drained the system, then he'll re-gas. |

Title: Re: Old-'Movvy' Post by PJDavis on Sep 5th, 2017, 10:01pm News update. Fitted the new compressor, not that easy, the old one took a couple of knocks with a leather hammer to get it off the dowels. New one came with new dowels and new 'O'-rings, and went on a treat. All tightened up and in-place, still the 'short-belt' on until my mate tells me it's time to re-gas. Just have to make-sure that the air-con light stays off. Long journeys to do this coming weekend, it'll do 'Old-Movvy' the world of good after sitting in the drive for the last month. |

Title: Re: Old-'Movvy' Post by PJDavis on Sep 21st, 2017, 1:49pm Update. Good journeys with no problems, over 1000 miles in 2 days. Now Air-Con working properly, cold at 4 degrees. Next job during winter is replace rear wheel-arches, and hit the sills with a hammer to see where the patches need to be welded in. :o |
