Post by Pianoman on Sep 1st, 2017, 11:28pm
It did have two advisories.

Play in steering rack inner joint(s) offside.
Brake pipe slightly corroded nearside rear 3.6.b.2c
Brake pipe slightly corroded offside rear 3.6.b.2c
Anyone know what the 3.6.b.2c bit means ?

A big thanks to this forum and all the helpfull people who have helped me keep my car on the road.

Tony

Well done. Another 12 months then. Slight corrosion on brake pipes is usually treated at my garage by coating with copper grease.

Have a look at this web page which might help you explain the codes

Thanks Glyn. Do I just brush the grease on ? should I clean the pipes first with something like a wire brush ?

I would clean the pipes first. I have used a rust preventing paint on mine.

Yes clean first. They just smeared it on with their fingers. Seems to do the trick. Some people use Waxoyl.

Congratulations.   It's always great to hear of another Scorpio making another year.   Mine will need a LOT of work next year methinks, even though I had no advisories this year.

Well done, still more on the road!

We shall all be spotting Scorps before long and I will have to change my "Drive something different" logo.

Happy Scorpioing for another year.
