Title: MoT attained
Post by QuentinG on Mar 1st, 2019, 11:00pm
Delighted to report that my 2.3 Ultima has a new MoT through to next March after getting its new sills, the only advisories were discs pitted on the inside and exhaust in poor condition.

It's been serviced too and I'll catch up with the chap who did it next week to see about some of the other little jobs I want doing.

I noticed on the certificate that it has averaged 600 miles a year over the past 3 years, less than my Morris Minor, will have to see about giving it some more use.

Storage remains a bit of an issue, I'm on the waiting list with the people who manage the Housing Association garages but they've just upped the rents by nearly 50%.

Final aside, I was impressed to find that the back seat folds up properly like an estate car, not just the backrest.

Thats good news, another still motoring. If they are standard garages, you may find it very tight to get it in.
Gerald.

Great! another on the road, excellent comfort wherever you go, and a lovely car to boot.

It's very tight indeed in the lockup I usually use for the Minor, about 2 inches at front and rear and if someone parked nearby I wouldn't want to try reversing out. Fortunately I have some padding on the back wall, and also it fits nicely in the garage at home.
